BabyPlanet Endangered Species Stroller, Butterfly Reviews
5 of 6 people found the following review helpful Love It...just one thing, May 1, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: BabyPlanet Endangered Species Stroller (Baby Product) I really do love this stroller! The canopy is much larger than any normal umbrella stroller and the foot rest is adjustable, which my daughter loves. The only thing is that I have such a long stride that my feet occasionally still kick the wheels. This is a problem I have had with other strollers so I don't hold it against them.
I also love that this stroller sits straight up and reclines all the way flat! This is a great buy.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Excellent and sturdy stroller - much lighter than our last., December 26, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: BabyPlanet Endangered Species Stroller, Butterfly (Baby Product) This stroller is likely the most sturdy of the true lightweight strollers on the market. My wife and I spent a lot of time researching lighter strollers due to the fact our Britax Chaperone stroller had nearly fallen completely apart in less than 9 months. The Britax system was also extremely expensive, bulky, very heavy and not user friendly. The BabyPlanet stroller on the other hand is quite the opposite. It weighs about half as much as the Britax, the materials are of good quality and the construction initially seems very sturdy. The folding mechanism is two part (pull handle and a push to unlock) - and is the only minor complaint we have. The system seems to be a simple solution to increase overall safety. Nevertheless, the stroller is still much easier to fold down than the Britax. We bought the Endangered Species series (Monarch Butterfly) - mostly because the Tim and Leslie (essentially the same stroller - different color scheme) was so unattractive. All of the... Read more
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Great, but not that durable, July 30, 2011 By Audrey (Toulouse, France) - See all my reviews This review is from: BabyPlanet Endangered Species Stroller, Butterfly (Baby Product) I have the Snow Leopard version of this stroller and have been using it for the past 3 years, since my son was 6 months old. It has a lot of nice features and is very attractive. However, I did not find it to be very durable, and my son is now too big for it - the canopy is too for him. We had our first issues (broken harness, broken canopy, broken basket, broken cupholder) in the first year and Baby Planet replaced everything with no problem, but then we had the wheels fall apart and the new canopy break within 18 months after that. I do use this stroller a lot but I think some other brands hold up better to wear and tear.
Great things about this stroller:
Canopy - large, with a peekaboo window and pocket
Not tippy at all - I put tons of stuff on the handles and it never tips over
Nice recline
Nice upholstery
Attractive design
Disadvantages:
Heavier, and a slightly bulkier fold than some other umbrella strollers
Not... Read more
